Kindy Program

 

The kindy program offers a wide range of activities to help develop children's communication, learning and motor skills. Our program includes activities to help develop the whole child in an encouraging and nurturing environment. We use a cross curricular approach to learning to help engage children and to encourage learning through play. We want to help our children become lifelong learners and so create a positive environment for children to develop a love for learning at a young age.

Our program includes time for: rest, play, circle time, math’s, literacy, special activities, music, craft and more.​ Although we do have structured learning times and objectives, we are very flexible in our approach and allow time for child led learning experiences. If a child demonstrates an interest in a learning area, our teachers are happy to go off schedule to help develop children’s knowledge in this area.

Our kindy children bring in their own snacks and lunch; this is to prepare them for school. This is also a very important time of day as we discuss with children all about nutrition and a healthy, balanced diet. We also treasure this time as we get to interact with our children and get to know each other more.

At times of free play, our teachers engage with children and challenge their learning. Children really enjoy this time as they get to be creative and show our teachers new and exciting things they have learned.

The centre has a wonderful area outside for children to play, which all our children enjoy. During times when we do go outside children are required to wear a hat and sunscreen, as per our SunSmart Policy.
